Rare adrenal gland tumour

Hi 

I have recently been diagnosed with a rare right adrenal gland tumour 5.3 cm 

my sister also had the same 40 years ago and had hers removed 

The hospural have booked me in for another PETSCAN 4 weeks away from the first one   Is there a reason for a 2nd one  so soon please

    I am sorry to hear about you and your sisters diagnosis.

    Some adrenal cancers do have a hereditary risk due to the passing on of a gene. Do read more about this particular type of adrenal cancer and gene mutation on these pages.

    Unfortunately I do not know why they have requested a second scan. It is only your doctor who would know why they have requested this.
