I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve previously had anal cancer; it sounds like you’ve already been through a great deal.

Having norovirus can make people feel very unwell and very tired, and it can take some time to fully recover. From what you have described, the virus is likely responsible for how you are feeling at the moment.

That said, it’s completely understandable to worry about symptoms when you’ve had cancer before. If you continue to feel concerned, or if your symptoms don’t gradually improve, it would be best to get in touch with your hospital team or your GP. They are the only ones who can properly assess you and, if needed, arrange tests to confirm what is causing your symptoms.
