I appreciate it can be worrying when you experience bleeding after sex, but small bleeding after sex is common and is rarely cancerous. it is good news that your last cervical check has been clear.

Common causes of bleeding after sex include hormonal changes, a sensitive cervix, or vaginal dryness, and you can read more about this on the NHS website.

You should make an appointment to see your GP if it keeps happening, or the bleeding gets heavier, or if you are experiencing pain or a vaginal discharge.
