Worried - I've found a breast lump after just completing treatment for cervical cancer

Hi i have just found a lump in my breast, after having two years of chemothreapy and immunothreapy my last treatmrnt was on 7 march 2026, i have just two days ago had my 3 monthly CT scan. The reason for me having those treatments was because in 2023 i got cervical cancer, and got cleared of that then in 2024 the scan had shown the cancer had gone in to my lung, the consultant said they were speckles, and each scan i've had it has always been stable. So now having finding this lump obviously i'm worried.

  • Hello Niblock and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your concerns. If you have recently finished your treatment then you probably have a breast care nurse who you can contact. I would get in touch with them and let them know your concerns. Do leave a message if there is no one there to answer your call.

Try not to overthink it for know. There are other reasons for lumps to occur other then cancer such as breast cysts and fibroadenomas which are both benign (non cancerous conditions)

I do hope that you know more soon and that all will be well.

Do give the nurses a ring on the helpline if you would like to talk things through.

The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

    All the best,

    Catherine

  • Thank you Catherine, for your reply. The thing is, i haf breast cancer back in 2007, had single masectomay, had all the treatments at the time. So after all the revular checks at the time, i was then discharged as a patient. I have rang my GP suegery  this morning, so i'm now waiting for an appointment from them

    Kind regards
