All this chopping and changing can be very frustrating. The reason for another biopsy is usually because the first one didn't give a very clear reading or the sample was taken from the wrong area. Cancer is only usually detected by the results of a biopsy. It is possible that hey may take a different type of biopsy next time to give then a better view. It is routine to put the metal clip in where the suspect tissue is detected. This helps the clinicians to find it if you need surgery. Don't be afraid to ask why you need another biopsy.
