Hello Rovers2020 and thank you for posting
I’m really sorry to hear that your operation has been cancelled. I can appreciate how disappointing and stressful this must feel, especially when it seems as though your concerns aren’t being acknowledged.
I’m not sure which operation you’ve been waiting for or whether anyone has explained the reason for the cancellation. If you haven’t already, it may help to contact your clinical nurse specialist (CNS), if you have one. As they know your situation, they may be able to clarify what has happened or advise on what to expect next. You might also consider getting in touch with your consultant’s secretary, who can sometimes provide updates or pass on your concerns to the team.
If you feel you’re not getting the information or support you need, you can also contact your local PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service). PALS can help resolve issues, offer guidance, and support you whilst navigating the NHS
Please do get back in touch if you’d like to talk things through further. You’re also very welcome to call our helpline on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, where one of our nurses can offer support.
Best wishes,
Jemma
