Double vision can happen after brachytherapy near the eye or nose. This is usually because radiation can irritate tissues or nerves around the eye, which may cause temporary changes in how the eyes move and focus.
It often improves on its own over days or weeks as the irritation settles. But if it gets worse, becomes painful, or doesn’t improve, you should let your treatment team know so they can reassess you.
