Symptoms - have noticed blood when wiping on an area where I've had lots of procedures done. Should I let someone know?

Hi, im under gynecologist I have been for a few years now, think it was 2018 i first had smear and was then sent for biopsy etc, had CIN3 and VIN3, they've done lots of procedures and one patch of skin in between bits and bum they said on my last appointment (feb) was very inflamed and they want to urgently remove it after emiprezole (unsure of exact spelling) did nothing the last 3 attempts. When I wiped a few weeks before the appointment i had slight blood from that part (was not from bits or bum) but the last week it's got alot more to the point when I wipe instead of slight it's a big line lengthways on two sheets of toilet roll and probably 3cm width. I'm still awaiting an appointment for surgery but is this something worth phoning back and explaining to them? They've not done another biopsy.

  • Hello Ztaa and thanks for your post,

it is difficult to be able to say very much without being involved in your care. It may however be a good idea to let the gynaecologist know that you are getting more blood when you are wiping as it may mean that you are seen sooner for surgery.

If it is a while until you see the gynaecologist you could make an appointment with your GP to get their opinion.

I hope you know more soon.

If you would like to discuss any of this with one of the helpline nurses then you are welcome to give us a ring.

    All the best,
