Hi, I have got a note from my GP to offer shingles vaccinations now I have reached 70. Is it safe to have that whilst on immunotherapy for Stage 4 lung cancer? I am 7 months in to the immunotherapy treatment.
I am sorry to hear you are currently needing to have immunotherapy but hope you are getting on okay with it.
It is best to double check with your own hospital specialist team about having the shingles vaccine although the non live version of the shingles vaccine (shingrix) is usually safe to have whilst on immunotherapy.
