I am sorry to hear about your past cancer diagnosis and the tests you are currently undergoing.

Whilst I imagine this is an anxious time for you try not to over think things too much until you have all the information.

It sounds like the doctor is wanting to repeat the xray to get a better understanding about what this may be and what may need to happen next. There are so many reasons not related to cancer for bone changes so hopefully there is a simple explanation for this that isn't linked to your past diagnosis.

Sometimes cancer can return many years after the initial treatment however usually the longer time passes the less likely this is to happen. Recurrence is more common in the first 2 or 3 years after diagnosis in more aggressive types of cancer.

Take things one step at a time for now and do ask your doctor any questions you may have at this time.
