I had liver resection (about 30%) and gallbladder removal 12 weeks ago. Recovery has been good until the past few days. I have started with intermittent stabbing pains in the area of the resection, plus general soreness and tightness across the whole of my stomach and moving into my right side.

Is this a common phenomenon as part of the healing process or could there be a more serious reason?
