I had a similar experience with a lumpectomy in December 25.My nurse explained that where any tissue is removed.flid fills the spot and mine made that dreadfull sound ,eventually it will clear .
Thank you for that - it’s encouraging to know it’s normal!
Hello and thanks for posting,
I hope that you are recovering well from your recent breast surgery. I see that other forum users have replied to you, which is great.
After surgery, it will take some time for the soft tissue swelling in the surgery breast area to subside, and for lymph fluid to redistribute itself. So it is not uncommon for the sensation in that area, and fluid, to feel strange, and may be to feel a bit squelchy. Do be guided by your breast care nurse, and access them if you have any concerns moving forward.
Obviously, if that area became more sore, or red or hot, then seek further medical advice, as sometimes, although not very often, infection there can occur and need antibiotics to treat it.
I hope this helps,
Wishing you the best,
Vanda
