Need help - been having bleeding in my right ear on and off for over a month. What does it mean?

for a month now or longer on and off and today it has been going on sinces the morning till now my right ear has been bleeding a lot it’s like a dark red blood with some black stuff and had a foul smell what does it mean?

    A very warm welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your symptoms. As they have been present for a month, I would suggest that it is time that you contacted your GP. I am not a doctor, but a cancer patient. It is not possible for us to diagnose your condition. Your GP will have access to your medical history and can examine your ear to discover what is causing this bleeding. Please don't delay in contacting your doctor - the longer you leave these things, the more difficult they can be to heal.

    I’m really sorry you have symptoms that you are worried about.  

    I'm afraid we are unable to diagnose or tell anyone if anything is the matter. Symptoms can have straightforward medical explanations.

    Bleeding from your ear with a bad smell may be a sign of an infection.

    Only a doctor can make a medical assessment so the best thing to do is to  see your GP. They will assess you and decide whether you need to go for further tests.
