It sounds like you’ve been dealing with a lot recently, and I can imagine how worrying these symptoms and the uncertainty around them must be for you.

Waiting for hospital appointments, tests, and results can be an especially stressful time. Many people tell us that this period feels the hardest because so much feels outside their control, and it’s completely understandable to feel anxious.

The blood test you mentioned is likely the CA125. Although a raised CA125 can sometimes be linked to cancer, it’s important to remember that there are many other non‑cancerous causes too. Conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, or pelvic inflammatory disease can all raise CA125 levels. Unfortunately, until further tests are carried out, it’s not possible to know what the cause is.
