Mole/mark on my face is becoming more obvious and itchy. I'm not sure what to do

I have recently noticed a mole/mark becoming more obvious on my face. 

I have a lot of moles. But this one appears odd to me. Its started being a bit itchy.. it does look a little dry.. not sure if that's the itch. But my dad has been diagnosed with bsc and is awaiting surgery to remove. He was referred 9 years ago.. he got the chemo cream and never followed up. He has many lesions. But the ones on nose confirmed cancer. I guess now my worries are heightened. And dont want to just get checked cos of my worries about my dad. Dont want it to seem as though im wanting attention.

    I am sorry to hear a mole is causing you some concern. Unfortunately no one here can say whether this is something to worry about or not so it is best to make an appointment with a GP just to be on the safe side.

    If needed they can refer you to a skin specialist for further checks but hopefully there will be a non serious reason for the change.

    Bcc are very common in older adults after a lifetime of sun exposure but are usually grow slowly and don't end to spread and are easily treatable. I wish your dad well.

    Do arrange an appointment with your doctor when you can.
