I am sorry to learn that either you or a loved one is waiting for scan results.
I appreciate this must be a worrying time.
On average it can take 1-2 weeks to receive scan results. Sometimes it can take longer especially due to staff shortages and winter pressures.
A consultant radiologist will examine the images before sending a report to your hospital specialist or GP (whoever requested the scan).
You could call the department where the CT can was taken and ask if the scan has been examined by a radiologist and who the report has been sent to.
If you have the name of the doctor it would be worth checking with their secretary to see if the results are available and if they can give you an idea of when you might receive them.
It might also be worth checking with your GP to see if they have had any results.
