**this is a post on behalf of my grandmother**
Hi,
My grandmother was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has undergone key-hole surgery and subsequent chemotherapy. After the course of her treatment was complete, her scan showed no signs of anything being left behind.
However, we have now been advised that during her chemotherapy the cancer came back and is now situated in her vagina.
Her doctors have said that they are unwilling to operate on her for a second time and have suggested an IV of sort to help shrink/contain the tumor.
My point for posting this is to find out if the above is correct; are you not able to operate on a patient for the second time, if the cancer comes back?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
