Itchy skin

Hello, I'm in a process of getting a dignosis after my ct scan and biopsy.

It will take probably a few weeks but in the meantime I'm really struggling with constant itchy skin.

This has been ongoing since September.

I've tried all the antihistamines you could think of and also all moisturisers. Did anyone found something that helped?

  • Hi Lorena81 and thank you for your post.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling so uncomfortable. Waiting for results can feel stressful, and having constant itching on top of that can be really hard to cope with. It seems you have already tried various treatments.

We have information about causes of itching and treatments available for itching as well as tips to cope with itching which you may find helpful.

Speak to your GP or nurse again – they might check for other causes or suggest a different treatment.

If the itching gets worse or you notice any new symptoms, let your doctor know straight away.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support

It might help to talk things through with one of our nurses on the helpline. You can call for free on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

    Kind regards

    Tina

  • Try witch hazel gel. Available in 35 from tubes from some chemists. I don't think boots do it anymore, I got my last ones off Amazon.
