What percentage of patients are usually able to leave hospital on the same day as their procedure is carried out? Just curious as mine is tomorrow morning, 10th Dec 25
I'm afraid I can't quote you specific figures on how many patients can go home on the same day after their cryoablation procedure. Every patient is different so it's best to check with your hospital team as to whether you are likely to be discharged on the same day.
From what I've read, it seems that the majority of patients are able to leave hospital the same day as long as everything goes smoothly and the person is otherwise well.
However, some hospitals may prefer to keep their patients in overnight just to be on the safe side ,so it will depend on what your hospitals policy is on this.
