Hello and thank you for posting.
I am sorry that you are concerned about the tumours on your kidneys. It is not unusual for doctors to choose active surveillance in this situation which is explained on our website.
I would expect that the doctors have moved the next scan to 9 months time, as they feel confident in what they have already assessed. If the doctors were concerned, and there had been significant growth of the two tumours, the doctors would have suggested a different plan.
Kidney Cancer UK, also have information on active surveillance as a well established treatment plan if helpful to look at. Knowing that others are in a similar situation, may help you.
Take care and if you remain concerned do talk things through with your doctor to help you understand this better. If you want to talk things through then do call our nurses on 0808 800 4040. Lines are open mon-fri, 9-5.
Sarah.
