Hello Judith 1955 and thanks for your post,
I would get in touch with the team at your hospital to find out when your treatment is likely to start. There may still be some tests that they want you to have before you start any treatment particularly if they are trying to start treatment before Christmas.
Depending on whether you have any symptoms such as pain or breathlessness the doctors may be fine with a short flight but it is probably a good idea to ask them before you go.
I hope that you have a wonderful 70th and you manage to get the go ahead for travel.
If there is anything else you would like to discuss then you are welcome to ring the nurses on the helpline. The number to ring is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
All the best,
Catherine
