Jumperoo - worried about post menopausal symptoms and other problems I've been having

Hello nurses

I have recently had some post menopausal symptoms which included light bleeding and soreness

My GP referred me for an ultrasound, which was clear and was prescribed  HRT cream. I also have dry eyes and mouth.

i have had further problems and unfortunately have oral and vaginal thrush which I have had treatment for but seems to be very resistant. I have also been a bit feverish.

i always thought that thrush was something that cancer patients have and I’m now very concerned that I have some kind of leukaemia or lymphoma.

My GP has ordered blood tests, but the earliest appointment is after Christmas and I am really worried about these symptoms.

    I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you are having and the worry they are causing you.

    It is important to go back and update your GP with any ongoing or additional symptoms so they can reassess you.

    Thrush is common unfortunately and can affect people at various stages of life. Treatment should clear it up but sometimes it can persist and need further treatment before it resolves.

    Do speak with your doctor again when you can where hopefully they can give you peace of mind and possibly run some blood tests sooner.
