Hi,

I have stage 4 anal cancer and recently completed six months palliative chemotherapy.

The tumours in my liver responded well and are almost gone but the primary tumour in my bottom is bigger, bleeding and causing me a lot of pain. I had an emergency stoma because the tumour blocked my back passage.

i am due to start radiotherapy on 16 December and am hoping this short course will help.

in the meantime, who can I speak to about pain relief?

My GP has been prescribing pain meds, but she misdiagnosed the tumour as haemorrhoids so I don’t trust her with my care.
