I breathe through my mouth and I have COPD I take inhalers but of late I can’t swallow without difficulty my mucus I on coresone nasal drops as I have nasal drips. I do smoke
I am sorry to hear that you are having some difficult symptoms at the moment. As nurses, we can't advise you very specifically, or give you a medical opinion on this.
Do go and see your GP or practice nurse about this. Sometimes oral thrush can cause swallowing issues, and using inhalers increases the risk of oral thrush.
Sometimes using a steam inhalation can help with mucus. You can also speak with a local pharmacist who may be able to look at your throat, or suggest a product to use that may help.
