Hello to you, my name is Barry. In 2021 I was diagnosed with aml. my progress was extremely successful as was the stem cell transplant, I am in full remission and have just passed the 4yr mark. However during this period I did some research into chromosome defects and was astounded to find a direct link with the chemical Benzene and acute myloid leukemia. For 4yrs 1979 / 83 I worked in the chemical industry where benzene was regularly used in production. I believe it was banned totally in 1992. Is it possible that the causation of my aml was benzene ? Is this an area which requires research.  If I can help those who have been subjected to aml I am more than happy to help.

All the staff at my hospital cancer care unit are unbelievable !!
