I'm sorry you are having some health issues and I imagine that this must be a difficult time especially when you feel that you are not being listened to.

The surgeons examination would usually only feel the bottom of the bowel, so even though he identified that you have haemorrhoids, he still needs to do a colonoscopy and CT scan to check the rest of the bowel and to understand the lumps more.

It's possible that the reason the surgeon didn't discuss the prolapse is that he needs to wait for the test results before he can tell you what the treatment plan will be.

I know waiting to find out more is frustrating but try and take it one step at a time until you do, although I appreciate that this is easier said than done Some people find talking it through with family and friends and keeping busy can sometimes help. Also try and focus on what you can control right now by eating a good diet, getting enough rest, and doing some gentle activities that you enjoy.
