Been bleeding for 3 months. Had two transvaginal scans which were clear. Does this mean I am categorically clear of cancer? Blood is fresh looking. I have period like pain. Not getting much support from GP. Any advice would be most appreciated.
I am sorry to hear about the bleeding you are experiencing and appreciate the concern it is causing you.
No one here can say what may be causing this and if it is ongoing you do need to go back and see a GP about it. If you don't feel listened to by the doctor you have seen about this before you can request to speak to a different one.
Whilst it is reassuring nothing has been picked up as unusual on the ultrasounds you have had carried out. A trans vaginal and pelvic ultrasound is able to view all the pelvic organs such as the womb and ovaries that can cause abnormal bleeding from the vagina.
If everything looked normal and as it should be I am wondering if the doctors said anything else about where they think the blood is coming from. As I said if this is still an issue for you you do need to go back to see if any further tests are needed to find out more.
