last week she had a scan and a tattoo. Over the weekend it appears that the tattoo has disappeared. Is this normal.?

I’m sorry to read that your wife is undergoing treatment for lung cancer.
I can appreciate this must be a difficult time for both of you.
The tattoo helps make sure that the treatment is given in the right place every time.
It’s normal for the pen marks around the tattoo to fade or wash off. The tattoo itself is very small, like a tiny freckle, and should stay. If you can’t see it or think it has gone, please let the radiotherapy team know. They can check and make new marks if needed.
