Eating with terminal cancer

My sister has stage 4 cancer she is on high steroid and has blown up in her face and body which is hard to see . She can no longer open her mouth very wide and has difficulty eating and drinking now . What is the prognosis or next thing to expect . I’m too afraid to ask the doctors .it is very difficult to understand her when she talks now .  We are all devastated as a family . My sister is in a hospice . Thank you

    I am so sorry to hear about your sister, it sounds like this is a difficult time for all the family.

    Unfortunately without being involved in your sisters care it is impossible for us to say how long she may have left and what the following days or weeks may look like for her.

    I understand it can be hard to ask questions like this to her doctor but they and the nurses in the hospice really are the best people to ask. They are very experienced at looking after patients who are approaching the end of life and will be able to support you and your family through this tough time.
