I was first diagnosed in November 2015 and had the top lobe of my right hand lung removed on January 2016. It came back in November 2019 and I had five segments of the left hand lung removed in July 2020, with chemotherapy starting three months after. Unfortunately because it was a rare form they didn’t have a standard “recipe” for the chemo drugs so hit it really hard and I couldn’t tolerate it after three doses so it was stopped. Both times it took a long time for the nerve pain to go away. Now I’ve developed an ache in my ribs on the left hand side, more or less where the scar is. It’s not painful to touch but is a constant ache which is worse when I take a deep breath. Could it be the cancer is back?
