Biopsy and PET scan results usually take a couple of weeks ( sometimes longer). I'm afraid I can't tell you how long you may have to wait as waiting times do vary in different NHS Trusts depending on the hospitals workload and resources.
I know it’s easier said than done but try and take it one step at a time until you know more. Some people find talking it through with family and friends and keeping busy can sometimes help.

It has taken from 12 Sept to 4 Nov to get diagnosis my trust is brilliant 3 weeks for all tests bit biopsy wait 3 weeks but results within 10 days now waiting for surgery date. Easier said than done trying to be positive but talk to hospital cancer pathways have time scales for testing, results treatment etc
Hi Lou1465, I had my pet scan middle of September and following week had biopsy on my right lung. I was called back to see consultant on October 8th where I was given the news that it was cancerous, ’m now awaiting chemo to shrink the tumour followed by surgery to say I was shocked was an understatement but I’m gradually getting my head around it.I’m seeing my oncologist this Friday to discuss treatment plan.
