Good afternoon, my mum is on day 3 of lenvatinib and is struggling to even get up without feeling like she needs to lay down again! Should we speak to someone? Also how long do side effects usually last? Thank you

Hello Angge
Our nurse team aren't back in the office now until Monday morning. Were you given a number by the hospital to call if there were any concerns about your Mum whilst taking this treatment? If so, then certainly do give them a call. Alternatively, you can call NHS 111 for advice and support over the weekend.
It's understandable that you're feeling worried about your Mum so do reach out to the local health services in your area who will be able to offer you specific advice and arrange for your Mum to be seen if necessary.
Best wishes,

Hi there and thanks for getting in touch
I hope your mum is okay and that you were able to speak to someone in her team over the weekend about your mum.
Lenvatinib can sometimes affect a persons blood pressure, which can result in feeling dizzy or light headed so that may have been a reason for the way your mum is feeling. This usually settles down with time but it is important her hospital team are made aware so they can assess her properly.
I hope this is useful. Do get back in touch if needed or give us a call on 0808 800 4040, weekdays 9-5 if you prefer.
Best wishes
Naomi
