  • Hi Red lady 25, and thank you for posting.

I’m really sorry to hear what you’ve been through. This must not be easy, and I can appreciate that there is a lot of uncertainty for you.

Many people find that cognitive symptoms after chemotherapy, often called “chemo brain”, do improve over time, especially within the first year after treatment. However, for some, symptoms can persist longer. We have information about coping with cognitive changes (chemo brain), which I hope is helpful.

I was sorry to also learn you have been diagnosed with lymphoedema. We have further information about lymphoedema after breast cancer treatment, with advice and tips on how to manage this.

I hope this and the above links are helpful. If you would like to speak with one of our nurses on the helpline, you can call 0808 800 4040 between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday.
