Throat cancer?

I have secondary breast cancer in my bones, lungs,,sacrum and iliac crest. For the last 2 weeks I've found it hard to swallow. As soon as I do manage, I become very nauseous. It feels as if have something stuck in my throat, I dont see my oncologist again until 17th December, although I told her of my fears last week. What should I do?

  • Hi there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate how this recent symptom is concerning you.

Unfortunately no one here can say what this may be caused by however if it persists or you remain worry you need to talk to your doctor about it.

You can either speak with your GP but it may be best to contact your specialist team ( perhaps you clinical nurse specialist, if you have an assigned one). Otherwise you could get in touch with the breast care nurse team or call your oncologists secretary. They may be able to arrange some more test to find out what the problem may be and if it is related to your cancer.

I hope you know more soon.

    All the best

    Naomi
