Vaginal lump

Hi,

I noticed a soft (fleshy like) lump inside my vaginal area today. It’s somewhat tender to the touch and seems to be protruding slightly. It feels smooth and movable. I’m a bit concerned and haven’t been able to find clear information about what it might be. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Hi there and thanks for the enquiry,

I am sorry to hear you have felt a lump that is concerning you.

bartholins cyst are very common, although tend to be on the opening outside part of the vagina. They can get blocked from time to time. You can try gentle applying a warm flannel to help.

An antiseptic cream may also help. If it doesn't clear up, then see your GP as sometimes antibiotics may be needed.

    I hope this helps,

    Best wishes,
