  • Hi Mickeyboy 75, and thank you for your post.

I am sorry to hear that you are suffering side effects from your cancer treatment. I can appreciate that this must be a difficult time for you.

For many people, side effects improve within the first few months of starting treatment. If you suffer from any side effects, then it is best to talk to your breast care nurse or hospital specialist.

The charity Breast Cancer Now has produced some information on the side effects of letrozole and how to manage them.

Additionally, Macmillan has information on Hormonal therapy for breast cancer in men, which you may find helpful to read.

The charity Breast Cancer Now offers a buddy system where they try and put you in touch with others who are going through a similar situation.

You may also receive more replies if you post your question on the Breast Cancer Now forum

I hope the side effects settle soon.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5 pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards

    Tina
