Hello and thanks for your enquiry,
I am sorry to hear you have some current nerve symptoms. Nerves are slow to regenerate and can take up to a couple of years to heal.
You could ask your hospital team or your GP for a physiotherapy referral as they may be able to suggest stretching exercises to help the muscles around the affected area. Sometimes applying a TENS machine (under physiotherapy supervision initially), can provide some relief. There are also particular drugs such as gabapentin, which are used to treat nerve pain. Your GP could prescribe this. You do have to start on a low dose and increase the dose gradually, as with all drugs, it can have some side effects.
I hope that this reply helps,
Best wishes,
Vanda
