If you remain concerned about bowel symptoms or changes that you have that have not been diagnosed, then do go back to your GP.

It would be unusual for FIT tests and CT scans not to pick up on cancers that are present, but it is important to remember that other non-cancer bowel conditions can cause very similar symptoms.

Keeping a diary of symptoms and writing down questions before your appointment with the GP may help. For more information on talking to your GP, look at these pages on our website.
