Hello and thank you for posting,
I am sorry to learn that your sister has been recently diagnosed with gallbladder cancer that has spread. This must not be easy.
many people can go through many different feelings when they are diagnosed with cancer, such as fear, anger or depression and very commonly people can feel shock and denial and can have a difficult time believing what is happening. Some people may choose to pretend it is happening.
There is no wrong or right way to deal with a cancer diagnosis, and everyone is different and will process the information differently.
If it's helpful, we have information on our website on how to support someone with cancer, which you may find useful.
I hope this helps in some way, and the links above are useful.
You would also be welcome to talk things through with one of our nurses on the helpline between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday, freephone 0808 800 4040.
Take care,
Jemma
