I am sorry to hear about your situation and your upcoming surgery and tests you are awaiting.

These new symptoms may be unrelated to the mass you have but it sounds like as you say something maybe pressing on a nerve. I assume you have checked for any swelling in your legs or feet and anything else that may look different.

It is worth getting it checked out by your doctor just to be on the safe side. Hopefully there is a simple reason for it but do speak with the doctor when you can.
