I'm sorry to read about your situation and hope you are recovering well following your surgery.

A grade 3 meningioma is a faster growing brain tumour. After surgery, radiotherapy is often given to reduce the risk of the meningioma coming back.

Some people worry a lot about their cancer coming back and going forward, they find the idea of having more treatment reassuring. Others may feel the additional benefit is offset by the possible side effects of radiotherapy. That's why decisions like this are often challenging and many people do struggle with them, but I'm sure you know, only you can decide what to do. 

Do look at the possible side effects of radiotherapy treatment on our website. There is often quite a lot of information to take in and it can feel overwhelming, so I would encourage you to get in touch with your specialist team team to talk things through with them. Talking to the team of doctors and nurses involved in your care can be the most helpful as they know all about your individual cancer as they are familiar with all your medical details. Talking to family and friends can also be useful.
