hello - I am new here and haven't read any of the other posts yet, so apologies if this is not in the right forum! I am in my early 20s and have quite a few odd symptoms that I am currently having checked out, including a relatively sudden onset of urinary incontinence, moderate lower back and pelvis pain primarily on my left side, crazy lethargy, and general muscle weakness. Two things I hadn't noticed much prior to my GP appointment but have been on my mind since are bloating - which seems to be getting worse over time (my stomach is hard to touch and my clothes don't fit) and does not change throughout the day - and changes to my period. My main query is whether my period having become shorter and lighter could also be a symptom of a gynaecological cancer? I have read that heavy bleeding and irregular bleeding can be a sign, but within the last 6 months my period has gone from 7 days heavy bleeding to 1 or 2 days very light but very clotted - like grape sized clots (sorry to use a food for reference). Have also read about the feeling of fullness, which is a little on and off for me - some days I am an endless void and others I will throw up or get really bad indigestion when eating a pretty normal amount for me.
Anyway, I sort of put everything down to stress for quite a while, but outright peeing myself these past few weeks has been a little hard to ignore, and wondering if it is a bunch of random symptoms or if some of these could be correlated? Family history of gyno cancers and my mum had to have cervical cancer cells removed when she was my age (which I did not know prior to my GP appointment). Have currently been referred to urology for a scan - hopefully within the next couple weeks - as have been prone to UTIs and kidney infections in the past, but have not had one in almost a year so I am unsure if this is the right way to go - or if I should call and request a referral to gyno too?
Until today I felt the most likely scenario would be a pelvic organ prolapse... seems to be what my GP was hinting it could be with the questions they asked, but it doesn't seem like that usually hurts? This is like a constant dull ache that turns into a sharp pain if I sneeze or breathe too hard, and breathing in general has been tricky these past few months and was given an inhaler, but it hasn't really been helping much. Also I am certainly not pregnant, just to rule that one out, and no history of STDs etc. I can be quite the overthinker, but up until today haven't really given any of my symptoms much thought at all so would be very grateful for a rational and objective insight before going back to my GP with missed symptoms.
Apologies for the very long post, I highlighted some stuff to make it easier to read as I know I blab - thank you for taking the time to read.
