  • Hello Blindybubble and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about all your different treatments and the side effects that you have been having.

Your doctors are in a better position to go through your situation with you and what your next steps will be as they are involved in your care.

The aim when a cancer has spread is to control the cancer for as long as possible. There are many newer treatments that your doctors may consider so do talk to them.

We have a page on our website on research in to treatment for secondary breast cancer which you might find helpful to look at.

You may also be interested in getting in touch with the Triple Negative Breast Cancer charity. They also have an online community.

I hope that you are managing to get support from friends and family and that you are also being supported by your breast care nurse.

I am not sure where you are living in the UK but if you are near a Maggie Centre you may find it helpful to visit one or join on line.

They have a range of different classes including exercise classes and they often have clinical psychologists who you can have one to one sessions with.

I hope some of these links may be helpful. Do give the nurses a ring on the helpline if you would like to talk anything through. The number to ring is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

    Best wishes,

    Catherine
