Many people are off work for 3 to 6 months following surgery and radiotherapy. Some may return sooner and some later. I'm afraid there isn't a single average that fits everyone.

I'm sorry you feel pressured to return to work. Under the UK Equality Act cancer is classed as a disability ,which means you are entitled to reasonable adjustments and protection from discrimination. A phased return to work is usually common. For example, starting with a few hours or days each week and building up gradually. This can help you (and your employer) see how your energy holds up.

You probably know this already, but your GP can provide FIT ( sick) notes and recommend a phased return when you are ready.

Thanku I know things like work pressure shouldn't but do happen I think I wanted someone to say this is OK to still be fatigued even though I hadn't chemo and am luckier than a lot of people .I'm my own worst enemy as I had convinced myself that I'd be better at this stage.
