83 year old husband diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer 3 years ago

Hi there, since Mike's diagnosis nearly three years he started chemotherapy and until last month his PSA remained well within the normal range. HOwever the latest PSA was 2.6 which necessitated a bone and ct scan.  The results were not good which showed a new intra-abdominal lymphadenopathy suggesting disease progression. Mike will start on Enzalutamide tomorrow , however he is now having some pain in his right side at the lower end of the back. Its not bad enough to take pain relief. Mike is a very active 83 year old, he continues to play tennis twice a week and badminton once a week. My concern about the pain is worring me - will the Enzalutamide help keep the cancer cells stable. I am completely worried and just need some answers please. I know the cancer is spreading but what is the prognosis?.
