Removing face spots

I'm having spot removed by local anasetic, will be about 1 inch diamond shape, now wondering how that space gets covered, will the skin be pulled over and stitched , I can't imagine, didn't ask at time as I just thought stitches scar around edge as in biopsy but that was much smaller ? Now beginning to worry.

  • Hi adrey

The stitches will pull the skin together. You will be left with a thin line scar which will gradually fade over time up to two years. Once healed and dressing is removed you can gently massage area every day with some moistutiser this will help skin stay supple.

  • Hi there and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear about your upcoming procedure and appreciate you having some questions.

The specialist carrying out the procedure should have explained what to expect in terms of what will happen. Generally speaking usually the skin will be stitched neatly back together.

I hope this is helpful and all goes well for you.

    Take care
