  • Hello and thanks for posting

It sounds like this has been a very frustrating experience for you so far and can appreciate why you are feeling fed up and are considering drawing a line under it.

Having ROSE ( Rapid On-Site Evaluation) means that a specialist which is usually a pathologist checks the sample ( while you are still there ) under the microscope to make sure that enough cells have been collected and that the sample is of good quality. They may even take extra samples straightaway if the first ones aren't ideal which helps avoid you having to come back again.

It's possible that you may get a clear answer from ROSE but your specialist is better placed to advise you further on this.

I hope everything goes well next week. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind Regards,

    Celene
