Cancer anxiety

I developed cancer anxiety when my mum died 2 years ago.

I've had a ct scan and ultrasound and endoscopy and bloods and poo tests all normal.

This is a good sign isn't it.

Silly question I know but I worry they've kissed something

Are ct scans detailed and reliable

Thank you

  • Hello Brenda2 and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your mum. This must have been very difficult for you.

It does sound like you have had lots of investigations and all of them have been clear which is good to hear. I would be reassured by all the tests that you have had done. CT scans are very detailed and I am sure if there were any concerning features the doctors would have told you.

I wonder whether you are getting any help with your anxiety.

AnxietyUK is a national charity that helps people manage their anxiety and has very good coping techniques. I would also see what help you can get from your GP if you have not done so already.

I do hope that you are feeling more reassured.

    Take care,

    Catherine
