Invasive Lobular Cancer of the Breast (ILC) and Invasive Ductal Cancer of the Breast (IDC) can appear side by side. Do see the diagrams on these web pages to understand where they are in the breast.
These types of breast cancer are treated very similarly, as the doctors involved will explain. They will go through what is going to be the treatment plan for breast cancer in this situation after an MDT (multi-disciplinary team meeting) is held.
