Hello. I have an itchy shoulder on the radiated side following lumpectomy 4 1/2 years ago. Is this a late onset side effect. It is intermittent and not all the time
It may be a late onset side effect, in the sense of the skin being a bit more sensitive in that area now. But there are many other reasons for itchy skin.
Do seek advice from your local pharmacist, who can advise you on useful skin care products. Generally, avoiding direct exposure to the sun, wearing loose cotton clothing, and keeping the skin area well moisturized can help. There are pharmacy counter anti itch creams that can help too.
